Accommodation Solutions – the Aussie Perspective

Moving overseas was a big step, and though I received a lot of support from Accommodation Solutions prior to my arrival, the idea of living with people I had never met before in a house I had never seen, was quite daunting.

When I arrived I was welcomed by one of my three other housemates.  She was warm and friendly and moreover, understood how overwhelming relocating can be.  In my initial few weeks I quickly learnt some of the benefits that can come from living with other teachers.  Aside from having people to share daily experiences with, I also had people to ask about simple things like public transport and local shops.

One of the best things about shared housing is the friends you make.  There was another house of teachers next door to us, and I was immediately part of a large social group comprising of five different nationalities.  Your friends become your family over here, and you can easily make friends for life.
